Remote Tropical Island

Petit St.Vincent, locally known as PSV, is a private island 40 miles south of St. Vincent and 3.25 miles from Union Island in the southern Grenadines. The island is 111 acres and rimmed with gorgeous white sand beaches and coral reefs. The island is a tropical paradise with several tall hills separated by wide grassy fields and tropical forests. PSV is owned and operated by Haze and Lynn Richardson, who live on the island.

PSV is a remote paradise that may be just what you need to get away and leave everything behind. PSV is a picture perfect vacation or honeymoon hideaway.There is an abundance tang, damsel, parrot and trumpet fish around the reefs. This makes snorkeling one of the favorite activities. Snorkeling along West End Beach is incredible. Many of the reefs come very close to the shoreline. PSV also is an excellent place for windsurfers for beginners to experts.

PSV has one resort and is managed by Haze and Lynn Richardson. Accommodations are not like your typical
resort hotel crowed with guests. On PSV there is plenty of privacy since there are twenty-two grand secluded cottages spread around the island.Each cottage
is constructed with native blue bitch stone. The ceilings are made from the purpleheart hardwood. Besides a fantastic view, each cottage has a living room, a bedroom with two queen sized beds, one or two bathrooms and a wooden deck. The living room has two daybeds to accommodate children.

There is no air-conditioning, TV, room keys or pool. There is also no crowds, waiting in line and no schedules. This resort is all about privacy, seclusion, beaches and service.You come to PSV to get away, to relax and enjoy a tropical island environment. There’s no other island resort in the Caribbean like this one.


PSV is an escape from your normal life and is something very special. Your cottage will not have the usual telecommunication equipment. You make any requests for meals, coffee, rides or a picnic lunch by using the flagpole signaling system. The flagpole is outside the cottage. If you have a request, you write it up on a note, insert it into the box and raise the yellow flag. Someone will be by shortly to fulfill you request.

Each cottage is connected to the main dinning room with a short walk. So if you want to have meals in your cottage, on the beach or in the dinning room; you will not be disappointed.


The island also has hiking trails, garden walks, secluded beach spots with hammocks and panoramic ocean views. The trails wind through the tropical jungle, past banyan and rubber trees. One night each week expect a beach party which usually features a barbecue. A speed boat is available to provide transportation to several of the nearby islands like Mayreau, Carriacou and Union Island. Union Island in known for its dramatic peak, Mount Parnassus, which can be see from miles away.

The warm waters are perfect for snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, and fishing. The steady breezes are perfect for sailing. Also available are Hobie Cats, Sunfish, windsurfers and kayaks.

Getting There

Barbados is the major gateway for PSV. There are flights to Barbados from New York, Miami, Toronto, San Juan and London, with connections from other major cities in the U.S. and Europe. A short flight from Barbados to Union Island via Grenadines Airways. A PSV speed boat will bring guests from Union Island to PSV.
