As for the extra charges for the extra traveler conveniences; I for one have no problem with these added costs. I can easily go 5 hours without a meal. If I need a headphone, I plan ahead and bring my own. However the airlines could be getting into a public relations problem if the general public perceives these extra charges as a “nickel and dime” approach to increasing revenue. I have noticed on a couple flights recently that it was difficult to even fine a pillow upon boarding the aircraft.
